Technology Information, Forcasting & Assessment Council(TIFAC) Is Recruiting Multiple Positions 2010

Applications are invited for the under-mentioned temporary posts in TIFAC (an analogous organisation under Department of Science & Technology , Government of India) for filling up on contract/immediate absorption basis:
1. Scientist C- Three Posts

  • Age: Not exceeding 35 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
  • Scale of Pay (revised): Rs 15600-39100+GP 6600
  • Nature of Duties: Study, collection, collation/compilation of technical data, Preparation of technical notes/reports, Analysis of technical/scientific documents and monitoring of scientific/technical programmes and support to planning and development of progarmmes.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Science or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with 5 years experience in R&D Laboratories/Scientific and Technical organizations. Preference will be given to candidates whose fields of specialization are Future Studies & Planning, Electronics, Bio-technology, Environmental Science, Production Engineering and Aerospace Engineering.

2. Scientist B – Two posts (one post reserved for OBC)

  • Age: Not exceeding 28 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
  • Scale of Pay (revised): Rs 15600-39100+GP 5400
  • Nature of Duties: Study, collection, collation/compilation of technical data, Preparation of technical notes/reports, Analysis Manager (Finance)
  • Number of Post: 01
  • Scale of Pay : Rs.15600-39100+GP 6600 2 of technical/scientific documents and monitoring of scientific /technical programmes.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in Science or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/ Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates whose fields of specialization are Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Food Technology, Bio-technology.

3. Manager (Finance) – One post

  • Age: Not exceeding 55 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
  • Scale of Pay (revised): Rs 15600-39100 + GP 6600
  • Nature of duties: Scrutiny/Examination of Project proposals for technology development assistance in the form of grants/loans; Documentation such as Agreements, MOUs, Deed of Hypothecation, etc; Supervision over the Finance/Accounts Branches.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

(i) B.Com from a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) A pass in SAS examination or similar examination conducted by Comptroller & Auditor General of India/Controller General of Accounts.

  • Experience: Officers of the Organized Accounts Departments/ Central/ State Governments / Universities/ public sector undertakings/ semigovernment and autonomous or statutory organizations,

a. holding analogous posts; or
b. with 2 years of service in the scale of pay of Rs. 15.600-39,100/- + GP Rs.5,400; or
c. with 3 years of service in the scale of pay of Rs. 9.300-34,800/- + GP Rs.4,600/-; or
d. with 5 years of service in the scale of pay of Rs. 9.300-34,800/- + GP Rs.4,200/-;\ and

  • Essential: Five years experience in finance and accounts matters in a supervisory capacity.

4. Assistant Manager (Finance) – One post

  • Age: Not exceeding 55 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
  • Scale of Pay (revised): Rs. 9300-34800 +GP 4600
  • Nature of duties: Scrutiny/Examination of Project proposals for technology development assistance in the form of grants/loans; Documentation such as Agreements, MOUs, Deed of Hypothecation, etc.
  • Minimum Qualifications: B.Com. from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Experience: (i) Officers of the organized Accounts Departments/ Central / State Governments / Universities / Public Sector Undertakings/semi- government and autonomous or statutory organizations,

(a) holding analogous posts with 3 years of service; or
(b) with 5 years of service in the immediate lower post in the scale of pay of Rs.9,300- 34,800 + GP Rs.4,200/-.
Desirable: A pass in SAS examination or similar Examination conducted by Comptroller & Auditor General of India/Controller General of Accounts.

5. Assistant Manager (Establishment) – One post

  • Age: Not exceeding 55 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
  • Scale of Pay (revised): Rs. 9300-34800 +GP 4600 4
  • Nature of duties: To deal with establishment matters which include processing of cases for recruitment, pay fixation, promotion of staff, etc.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Degree from a recognized University or equivalent
  • Experience: Officers of the Central/State Governments / Universities/ Public Sector Undertakings/ semi-government and autonomous or statutory organizations,

(i) holding analogous posts; with 3 years of service; or (ii) with 5 years of service in the immediate lower post in the scale of pay of Rs. 9,300-34,800 + GP Rs.4,200.

  • Essential: Five years experience in application of Central Government Rules and Regulations pertaining to establishment, vigilance and parliamentary matters in a responsible position.

6. Assistant Manager (Administration) – One post

  • Age: Not exceeding 55 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
  • Scale of Pay (revised): Rs. 9300-34800 +GP 4600
  • Nature of duties: To take care of the infrastructural facilities/needs of the officers and staff of the Council, housekeeping, etc.
  • Minimum Qualifications: Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Experience: Officers of the Central/State Governments/Universities/ public sector undertakings/ semi-government and autonomous or statutory organizations,

(i) holding analogous post; or (ii) with 5 years of service in the immediate lower post in the scale of pay of Rs. 9,300- 34,800/- + GP Rs.4,200/-;

  • Essential: At least three years experience in general administration, house-keeping, purchase procedures and maintenance of stores.

7. Accounts Officer–One post
Age: Not exceeding 40 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
Scale of Pay (revised): Rs. 15600-39100 + GP 5400
Nature of Duties: Preparation of Budget Estimates/Finance/Accounts related matters.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience: B.Com from a recognized University With ten years working experience in Govt./Autonomous Bodies/PSU's or any other Graduate OR 10th Std. Pass with 15 years experience in the line out of which 8 years should be in the scale /grade of Rs. 5000-8000 (pre-revised) or 3 years in the scale/grade of Rs.6500-10,500 (pre-revised) in Govt. Autonomous bodies/PSUs.
8. Assistant Grade-II (Accounts)– One post
Age: Not exceeding 30 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
Scale of Pay (revised): Rs. 5200-20,200 + GP 2400
Nature of duties: Preparation of Vouchers, Writing of Cash- Books, General Ledgers, Subsidiary Ledgers; Preparation of Annual Statement of Accounts, Bank Reconciliation, Preparation of Pay Bills, Maintenance of Accounts records, etc.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience: B. Com from a recognized University with 2 years experience in handling accounts. Working knowledge of Computer is essential.
9. Account Assistant – One post

  • Age: Not exceeding 30 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
  • Pay: Consolidated sum of Rs. 15000/- per month
  • Nature of duties: Scrutinizing and processing the bills, preparation of vouchers, maintenance of documents and liaison with firms.
  • Essential Qualifications: Must be a graduate in commerce, knowledge of computers will be essential.
  • Desirable: Minimum 2 years of experience in handling accounts.
  • 10. Peon – One Post
  • Age: Not exceeding 26 years (as on last date of receipt of application)
  • Scale of Pay (revised): Rs.5,200-20,200 + GP 1,800.
  • Nature of duties:

(i) Dusting of files, furniture, equipment etc. in all rooms.

(ii) Delivery and dispatch of letters/documents.

(iii) Making movements of files etc.
(iv) Shifting furniture, equipment etc.
(v) Any other work which can be assigned from time to time.

  • Minimum Qualifications: 10th Std. pass.
